A spokesman for the Fatah organization today (Sunday) attacked the widow of Palestinian Authority Chairman Yasser Arafat, accusing her of using his name in order to market the normalization of the UAE with Israel.

The organization's official at the organization's Ministry of Communications, Munir al-Jarub, wrote on his Facebook page that "Ms. Suha Arafat insists on performing her dubious role in the campaign against the leadership of the Palestinian people and using the name of the martyr Abu Amar to market what the UAE government is doing. ".

Al-Jarub referred to an interview by Suha Arafat on the Saudi channel Al-Arabiya on Saturday night, which he said was full of attempts to distort Arafat's history.

In an interview with the Saudi network, Suha referred to an interview in "News Here" in which she revealed that her family members were being harassed.

According to her, the interview on the Israeli channel was simply the result of a coincidence.

The widow also reiterated her claim that there are 300,000 Palestinians living in the Gulf states with security and putting a lot of money into the West Bank economy.

Arafat turned to the current PA chairman and said: "Oh, Abu Mazen, you are not only responsible for the Palestinians in the West Bank and Ramallah, but for 13 million Palestinians (who are also in the Gaza Strip and in the countries of the world)."

"The danger in its declarations is in the ethnic, religious and bizarre talk about the traditions and customs of our people, whose holy places for Christians and Muslims are in danger," Jarub wrote.

"We did not imagine that Mrs. Suha would reach this sabotage ethnic logic that we reject, and it is impossible to understand her attempts to provoke this civil war now, other than her service in the Palestinian issue elimination projects."

The Fatah spokesman also claimed that he was sure that the Palestinians would not degenerate into a dangerous place, but that no one would trade in Arafat's name.

Suha Arafat caused a stir recently, when following the burning of photos of Regent Muhammad bin Zayed, she published a scathing post on social media.

Arafat, who lives with her daughter Zahwa in Malta, posted the apology on her official Instagram account.

Alongside a photo of Yasser Arafat with the Emirates' founder, Sheikh Zayed, she wrote: "On behalf of the respected people among the Palestinian people, I would like to apologize to the Emirati people and their leadership for the attack and burning of the Emirates flag in al-Quds and Palestine and desecration of emirates."

She said, "This is not our values, our habits and our traditions. Disagreements do not hurt the strong friendship between us. I call on our current generation to read history carefully so that they know that the Emirates supported the Palestinians and their problem in the past and present."

Suha Arafat added at the end of the message a personal apology to the widow of the founder of the UAE and the mother of Regent Muhammad bin Zayed for "this irresponsible behavior".
