Britain's chief negotiator in Brexit talks with the European Union, David Frost, said his country was not afraid to withdraw from the EU if the latter did not make concessions on key issues.
Frost told Mail on Sunday ahead of the anticipated decisive round of trade talks after Brexit that Britain wants to restore the authorities to control our borders and that is the most important thing, expressing his frustration at the lack of progress so far.
"In the European Union they did not accept some matters related to the main areas of our national life, and we want to be able to control our laws and do things in our own way and freely after Brexit." The European Union operates. ”
Frost and European Union negotiator Michel Barnier are scheduled to meet in the British capital, London, on Tuesday, in the eighth round of negotiations since Britain left the unified bloc, which currently includes 27 countries, on January 31.
This political departure from the Union will be followed by an economic break at the end of the 11-month transitional period on December 31, Britain will exit the single market and the European Union's customs union, and the two sides are trying to conclude a new agreement on trade, security and a host of other issues, but the talks have reached a dead end.
