The head of the judiciary in Iran, Ibrahim Raisi, announced that his country has information confirming that the United States and European countries support drug traffickers and that they are involved in this, and that some countries in the region achieve revenues from the transit and distribution of drugs.
The Iranian Fars News Agency quoted Raisi as saying in today's meeting on drug control, "In a world in which the United States and some European countries support drug cultivation and convert traditional materials into industrial, and smugglers move under the umbrella of American fleets, we should not hope for external support in combating drugs," stressing However, drug control is one of the most important priority issues in the country, which requires national will at the highest levels.
Raisi considered that the actions of international organizations that "support" Iran in combating drugs do not go beyond words and award medals, and that they do not have a serious will to eliminate this phenomenon and the problem of addiction.
Raisi warned against allowing drug traffickers to harm social structures through drug distribution, stressing the development of intelligence measures to combat drugs and the use of popular energies in identifying and uncovering smuggling networks and drug production and distribution centers.
