Damascus - Sana

Mustafa Ali Gallery launched the Virtual Art Forum project, with the aim of creating a cultural space that allows the discovery of new Syrian youth talents in plastic art locally and as part of the precautionary measures to address the Corona virus.

About the forum, the international Syrian sculptor Ali said in a statement to SANA, “We launched the forum this year in its first session with the aim of reflecting the sophisticated civilized face of Syrian culture and arts in general and to attract the new generation of young Syrian plastic artists with the aim of raising their cultural, intellectual and artistic awareness.”

The sculptor Ali explained that the forum will provide young participants with the opportunity to express their artistic visions within a wide platform globally to convey their message and enrich their experiences through the exchange of experiences in addition to conveying a Syrian message to the world as a center of art and culture and as a conscious society that takes into account the measures of spatial divergence like all civilized societies during the Coronavirus crisis.

A specialized committee has been formed to select the participants from three accredited artists after the deadline for participation in the forum expires on the 11th of this month, where the participant sends his CV with some pictures of his work via an electronic link on the gallery pages on social media.

The participants in the forum, which will be launched on the fifteenth of this month and for a period of ten days, will be introduced to between 20 and 25 artists, with the publication of videos of them as they perform their work, participating in the forum in their homes or their ceremonies and concerns.

The works accomplished during the virtual forum, Hassab Ali, will be displayed in the gallery hall and on its social media platforms on the 28th of this month for a period of two weeks, provided that at the end of the forum, bronze shields are distributed to the participants as a token of thanks to them.
