Unity of Israelis: Hezbollah Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah met last night (Saturday) in his office in Beirut with the head of the Hamas political bureau, Ismail Haniyeh, who has been visiting the Lebanese capital in recent days.

The meeting was joined by other senior Hamas figures, especially Saleh al-Aruri.

This is another event that illustrates the growing closeness between the Palestinian terrorist organization and Iran.

The complete exit of this relationship from the shadows took place at the funeral of the exterminated Quds Force commander Qassem Suleimani, with Haniyeh not only present in it - but also taking an active part.

In doing so, he provoked the wrath of senior officials in Cairo, and was forced - as a result - to act most of the time from the capital of Qatar - Doha.

The meeting with Nasrallah, who is in fact the pro-Iranian leader in Lebanon and even sends many fighters to Syria, is a further reinforcement of the direct connection with Iran.

After the meeting, the two sides did not hide its purpose - the struggle against the plan of the century, the total opposition to any normalization between an Arab state and the State of Israel, and the unity of the "axis of resistance" in the face of pressure and threats against it.

Which illustrates that Hamas is not even trying to hide the fact that they are part of the Iranian terror axis.

"The two sides discussed the strength of the relationship between Hezbollah and Hamas," the Shiite terrorist organization said. "The relationship is based on faith, brotherhood, jihad and common destiny. Nasrallah and Haniyeh have discussed developing mechanisms for cooperation and coordination between the two organizations."

Also, the two leaders of the terrorist organizations spoke about the political and military developments in Israel, Lebanon and the region.

At the Israeli level, Nasrallah and Haniyeh understand that the relationship between the Likud and Blue and White is not at its peak, to say the least, hence the impact of the lack of political stability on the fight against terrorist organizations.

At the same time, Hezbollah's status in the eyes of the Lebanese is deteriorating - when under the influence of the explosion in the port of Beirut, it has already reached a new low.

"The purpose of Ismail Haniyeh's trip to Lebanon is to obtain political capital within Hamas ahead of the political bureau's elections with Khaled Mashaal and Yahya Sinwar, which are expected to take place in November," Yoni Ben Menachem, a senior researcher at the Jerusalem Center for Public and State Affairs, told Israel Today.

He said, "Haniyeh is facing the consequences of violating his promise to Egypt not to travel to Iran. Two weeks ago his wife and two daughters, with their husbands, wanted to leave the Strip to join him in Qatar - and the Egyptians refused to let them pass."

Regarding Sinwar, Menachem adds that "he wants to upgrade himself. He controls the Strip, the military arm supports him - which is very significant. Also, the fact that he left the breakthrough in mediation with Israel regarding the calm in the Strip to the Qatari emissary, proves his purpose. "In the run-up to the election, the very fact of calming down in the Gaza Strip, without updating Haniyeh, is to see who 'owns the house'."

"Hamas takes care of dispersing emissaries in all locations of Shiite terror"

"There are several factors in Hamas' considerations in making its decisions beyond Iran - such as Qatari money and Egypt," Dr. Michael Barak, a senior researcher at the International Institute for Counter-Terrorism Policy at the IDC, said in an interview with Israel Today. "To disperse emissaries on their behalf throughout the Shiite axis of terrorism, and just as they have a regular emissary in Beirut, they also have one in Yemen to coordinate with the Houthi rebels."

On Haniyeh's trip to Beirut, Dr. Barak notes that "Haniyeh wants to leave 'doors open' for him and also in the run-up to the Third Lebanon War. The South. "

Regarding Islamic Jihad, which is considered the closest to Iran among Palestinian terrorist organizations, the senior investigator added that "it is possible that at this meeting, Haniyeh tried to reach agreements with the Iranians regarding their activities. This was after the escalation following the assassination of Baha 'Abu al -'ta Hamas and Islamic Jihad. "
