Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu pledged today (Sunday) to Ministers Aryeh Deri and Yaakov Litzman that even if a general closure is imposed during the holidays, prayers can be held in accordance with an outline agreed upon in advance.
This is against the background of the pressure exerted on Netanyahu by the ultra-Orthodox following the proposal to impose a closure on red localities.
Minister Deri is expected to oppose a vote on the soft outline that Netanyahu led for the reason that it is a "band-aid," in his words, in the event that a general closure is imposed later.
