After criticizing Serbia for its decision to move its embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, Turkey came today (Sunday) against Kosovo - the first Muslim country to announce the opening of its embassy in the Israeli capital.
This is a change of direction of the Turkish Foreign Ministry, after its response to the peace agreement between Israel and the United Arab Emirates focused on the establishment of diplomatic relations - which provoked ridicule in the Arab media, as they actually operate an embassy in Tel Aviv.
"We call on the Kosovo leadership to abide by UN resolutions, and to refrain from taking steps that would harm Jerusalem's historic and legal status," the Foreign Ministry said in Ankara. The decision comes as a surprise. "It is disappointing that a Muslim state is considering such a move," Mankra said, "the move is contrary to international law and the suffering of the Palestinian people, whose lands are under occupation."

This announcement was made about a day after the Turkish Foreign Ministry announced: "We are very concerned about Serbia's decision to move its embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem."
At the same time, the Foreign Ministry in Ramallah stated that it "sees the decision to open embassies of these countries in Jerusalem as clear aggression against the Palestinian people, our goal and our national rights. .
The person who joined the condemnations is the secretary general of the Arab League, Ahmad Abu al-Rit. It should be noted that the organization recently refrained from allowing the Palestinians to issue a formal statement of condemnation of the agreement to normalize relations between the United Arab Emirates and Israel.
"The relocation of the embassies is reprehensible," Abu al-Rit said.
