What will be closed and what will remain open?
According to the ministers' decision, a night curfew will be imposed daily on dozens of localities between the hours of 05: 00-19: 00.
During these hours, all commercial activity, except for essential businesses, is suspended.
In addition, all educational institutions in these localities will be closed, except for special education.
What does this say about the general closure on holidays?
It is not yet known whether a general closure will be imposed during the Tishrei holidays, and the issue will be discussed in the Corona Cabinet, which will convene next Thursday.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has pledged to the heads of the ultra-Orthodox factions, Aryeh Deri and Yaakov Litzman, that even if a general closure is imposed during the holidays, it will be possible to hold prayers, in accordance with a pre-agreed outline.
The chief economist at the Ministry of Finance, Shira Greenberg, estimated that imposing a general closure for three weeks during the holidays is ten billion shekels.
