203 students who had mastered the Basic Education Certificate in the 2020 cycle qualified for the second admission test for the National Center for Distinguished Excellence after their success in the first admission test that took place in the centers designated for the Education Directorates in the governorates on the second of this month, and 2013 students applied for it.

The Excellence and Creativity Authority called in a statement that SANA received a copy of today, the students who succeeded in the first admission test to review the Secondary Education Department in the education directorates in their governorates to coordinate their visit to the center in order to conduct the second test that will be held at the headquarters of the National Center for Excellence at Tishreen University in Lattakia over a period of three days in the course of three days. The 13th, the 14th and the 15th of this September, which includes an interview to measure and evaluate the aspects, capabilities and personal characteristics of students.

She stated that the qualified students from all governorates will be received on Saturday the 12th of September at the Center for Excellence in Lattakia, except for those qualified from the Lattakia and Tartous governorates, as they must attend on the 13th of this month, indicating that the education directorates in the governorates will take over the task of bringing and returning qualified students from their governorates to Lattakia And vice versa.

The authority pointed out that the center will take care of accommodation and food for students participating in the exams throughout their days, as the management of the Excellence Center has prepared for the participating students a scientific, cultural and artistic program and a set of activities on the days of the exams.

She explained that the results of the second test will be announced on Tuesday, September 15, and the finalists will remain in the Center for Excellence to take the third and final admission test, which is scheduled at 9 am on Wednesday, the 16th of this month, and includes a second test to measure the student’s ability to logical mathematical thinking in basic sciences.

The first admission test lasted three hours and included automated issues and questions in logical mathematical thinking within the specializations of mathematics and general sciences “physics, chemistry and biology” under the supervision of the Central Scientific Committee of the Excellence and Creativity Authority.

The National Center for Excellence was created in 2009 and it adopts a different approach by giving the scientific curriculum through e-learning, cooperative and constructive, and establishing an evaluation station at the end of each scientific session in addition to its focus on the semi-open curriculum where the textbook is one of the scientific sources for the student to complete by collecting the rest of the information from the scientific references approved in The center with academic supervision from Tishreen University.
