"Neither yes nor no nor white nor black."

The four words were forbidden when answering any question.

Those were the requirements of children's play, and some aftertaste of that fun seems to fly over the sayings and contradictions of Alberto Fernández.

“I contradict myself, and what?

I am huge, I contain crowds, ”wrote Walt Whitman, although this does not appear to be the case.

The problem here may be the crowds, not their own but those of the Frente de Todos internal, to which the President must conform.

Although there are, of course, a qualified pair of ears that are the ones that basically matter.

And so, seeking the approval of Cristina Kirchner, it

goes, comes, affirms, denies, says and backs down,

attacks and loosens, advances and retreats.

The last few days have been lavish in contradictions, confusion and the occasional excess.

During the campaign he

promised to work to end the crack

, and in his opening speech of the legislative year, on March 1, he said in Congress: “The future is in our hands and it is with everyone (...) Let us understand at once and forever, that in crises the political factions must yield.

That all Argentines are on board the same boat ”.

Such a good enunciation of purposes, however, was blown up last Friday when he promised that the day the pandemic is over, “we will go out into the streets, and that day there will be a blowout.

A great flag from the Argentines of good

”.

With a certain whiff of that Plaza del Sí with which Carlos Menem celebrated himself in April 1990, auguring “the birth of a new Argentina”, Fernández's affirmation is directed to the thousands of citizens who on 17A came out to demonstrate against many of his policies.

And using a very expensive catchphrase for his vice president, he

once again harassed journalism, speaking of a "media machine-gunning

.

"

Far from bringing positions closer, a little more gasoline on the fire.

And if it is because of what was promised in the campaign, he also said then: “

I am not going to talk about inheritance

.

I'm not going to spend a second blaming anyone.

Argentina is already tired of being blamed on the other ”.

But days ago he launched: “On December 10 we faced a very difficult challenge because we had a virtually bankrupt and paralyzed country.

When we arrived, the economy was virtually destroyed by the virus of bad policies ”, topping off with that“

Argentina did better with the coronavirus than with the Macri government ”.

In perplexity, he first said that because of the opposition Deputies had not been able to meet on Tuesday, preventing the approval of the laws that benefited tourism ("we must not ideologize the pandemic"), to dismiss that same night clarifying that the session it had been carried out and the economic aid for the sector had been voted.

It was the day of the scandal, in which Deputies met remotely, with the opposition of Together for Change sitting on their benches, considering the virtual procedure invalid.

A little earlier he had launched it against the City.

"Buenos Aires fills us with guilt for seeing it so opulent"

, it was dispatched.

There must be a masochistic gene in the President since, until he took office, he lived in

Puerto Madero, one of the most expensive neighborhoods in the district with his dog Dylan

, who was so progressive, according to Fernández on C5N, barked a lot while he spoke with the head of the IMF.

Some reminiscence of that displeasure of Cristina Kirchner criticizing the resources that the City receives, complaining that while "mud splashes in the suburbs, there even

the ferns have electricity and water

."

A neighbor of Recoleta, another of the most exclusive neighborhoods of Buenos Aires, the vice president must know well what she is talking about.

The "do what I say but not what I do" was extended to the lunch of Alberto F. and Fabiola Yáñez with Hugo Moyano, his wife and one of their children in Olivos, embraced and without a chinstrap, while for the rest they are prohibited social gatherings.

The land seizures in Patagonia and in districts of the Province of Buenos Aires also revealed the contradictions of the official discourse.

The Minister of Security, Sabina Frederic, broke the fire, who in addition to affirming that "it is not a security issue" denounced the neighbors who in the south were protesting the occupation of their lands.

The government's position changed after a few days and led the official to say that the usurpations "are illegal" and "is not the way to resolve the conflict."

Popular wisdom made it clear: in disorientation you don't know which saint to entrust yourself to.

Of course:

you can't be right with God and the devil.
