BancoEstado de Chile branches closed this Monday, after a third party action was detected over the weekend by means of malicious software.
In a statement, the entity indicated that the corresponding complaints were made and asked that everyone with relevant information report it to the authorities.
BancoEstado clarified that, although the clients' accounts and the entity's assets were not compromised, they are making "all efforts" to contain and reverse "this malicious action by people who seek to affect the daily actions of millions of Chileans who use daily BancoEstado ».
The entity added that it continues working to restore all affected operating systems and that the digital channels, applications and website are operational.

The Minister of Finance, Ignacio Briones, reported on Twitter that the situation also had an impact on payments and transactions of the State, which are carried out through that bank.
"We regret the inconvenience to citizens that this may generate," the official wrote.
At the moment, 21 of the 416 branches that the bank has throughout the country have already been enabled, in which cash procedures such as deposits and money orders can be carried out.
