Generations of students know her name - and most have fond memories of him.
Elisabeth Pfluger, a veteran of the city and the secondary school, died a few days ago at the old age of 96.
Wolfratshausen -
With the exception of the last years of her life, when she lived in a retirement home in Percha, the popular, humorous teacher spent her entire life in Loisachstadt.
When it came to "her Wolfratshausen" and she was dissatisfied with a decision by the city fathers, Pfluger showed her persistent side.
“She could then fearlessly read the riot act to a mayor,” recalls a long-time companion who does not want to read her name in the newspaper.
As a child she attended secondary school in Wolfratshausen - and got to know Pfluger as a teacher there.
The relationship turned into an intimate friendship that would last to the end.
Friendly connection with former students
The economics teacher was on friendly terms with many former protégés, and attended classical concerts and theater with them.
"Even after my school days, many of you met me with genuine, trusting friendliness and affection," she wrote in a booklet on the 50th birthday of the secondary school, in which she also thanked her for "the second youth" she was allowed to experience the time in the facility.
She spent a “wonderful and fulfilling” time there, “which stimulated me in many ways”.
Pfluger was particularly popular because, despite the sometimes boring subject matter, she never lost her sense of humor: “Now comes the moment when the frog jumps into the water or sits stupidly on the bank,” she commented on the moments when the balance sheet was taken should rise.
“With such jokes, she was able to loosen up the strenuous study,” recalls the former student.
Excursions "were not only educational, but above all fun".
Whether skiing, hiking or sightseeing - "With her you could literally steal horses", says her long-time friend.
