Several refugee aid NGOs installed 13,000 white chairs in front of the Reichstag building in Berlin on Monday 7 September to demand the evacuation of overcrowded migrant camps in Greece, in particular that of Moria, on the island of Lesbos, noted the 'AFP.
The 13,000 chairs symbolize people living in disastrous sanitary conditions in Moria, the main migrant camp in Greece, said the organizations Seebrücke, Sea-Watch, Campact and #LeaveNoOneBehind behind the action.

Located near the Brandenburg Gate, the Reichstag is home to the Bundestag, the German Chamber of Deputies.
These chairs should also remind us that German municipalities and regional states, first and foremost the city of Berlin, have said they are ready to take care of migrants held in these unsanitary camps on the Greek islands.
"
The Bundestag was on summer vacation, the humanitarian disaster at the EU's external borders was not,
" lamented these NGOs.
Since the start of the year only 465 migrants have been evacuated from these camps to Germany, in particular sick children and their families.
Berlin has however pledged to welcome more than a thousand.
"
It's absolutely absurd when you see the suffering there and the goodwill here in Germany to take care of them,
" they added.
More than 12,700 people live in the Moria camp, which has a capacity of 2,800 places.
