French police are conducting a manhunt for two suspects after another series of attacks against horses in the country.
About 40 police officers landed yesterday (Sunday) with a helicopter in the town of Lausanne, near Dijon, after a local farm owner called police when he noticed lights in his field during the night.
The horse was injured in the waist, but his condition is not serious.
Dozens of horses have been killed or injured across the country in the past year in a wave of attacks that provoked a public outcry.
Some of the horses had their ears cut off, and one was found dismembered.
Police do not know why they are being attacked and if it is one person, or if there are also imitators.
Last month, police released a binder of a man according to descriptions given after the Bion horse attack, northwest of Dijon.
Agriculture Minister Julian Denormandi promised those responsible would be prosecuted.
