Turkey has said the final verdict of a Riyadh court on Monday overturning death sentences for the 2018 murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi in Istanbul was
"far from meeting the expectations"
of the international community.

"The final verdict that a Saudi court handed down today regarding the execution of journalist Jamal Khashoggi inside the kingdom's consulate in Istanbul falls short of meeting the expectations of Turkey and the international community,"
wrote on Twitter Fahrettin Altun, spokesperson for the Turkish presidency.
