Ten plastic artists meet in the National Museum Park in Damascus within the eighth oil painting forum entitled "Syria, the Bridge of Love", which is being held by the Fine Arts Directorate at the Ministry of Culture.

Each artist and artist from among the participants expresses their diverse visions by drawing two paintings with different styles and themes, influenced by the general atmosphere imposed by the place and its cultural and cultural heritage, in addition to the visitors watching them complete their work.

Sculptor Imad Kashout, Director of Fine Arts, said in a statement to SANA: “We have been holding this forum for eight years without stopping, despite the years of war on Syria, and this year we have the participation of several young artists in order to support them and to provide them with the opportunity to express themselves in addition to veteran artists, taking into account the spatial distancing. Among the participants within the precautionary measures against the Corona virus. ”

Kashaut pointed out that the Fine Arts Directorate tries every year to select the artists participating in the forum from different governorates and from various age groups and different artistic experiences and schools in order to enrich the artistic condition of the forum while achieving the greatest amount of interaction between the participating artists and with the visiting audience of the museum in addition to the importance of the place that represents Chapters from the history of Syria.

Plastic artist Bassam Al-Hajli explained that participation in the forum is an important opportunity for any artist who is inspired by the themes of the two paintings that he draws from the atmosphere and spirit of the museum, including the civilization and history it contains, which are the origin of the arts in the world, considering that the forum has an important role in spreading artistic and visual awareness in society and introducing our beautiful monuments and our rich history.

The young artist Nour Khoury, a graduate of the Faculty of Fine Arts in 2019, and the participant for the first time pointed out that the forum is characterized by the presence of artists of different ages and experiences, which helps them to see the experiences of each other and enrich the artistic state of the forum indicating that his participation will be through paintings that combine the two realistic styles with expressive in a spontaneous climate He took advantage of what he gained from dealing with children in his private studio.

The forum will continue until next Sunday, provided that the accomplished works will be displayed within a special exhibition for that next Monday.
