A girl was arrested this afternoon on Zurriola beach, in San Sebastián,
for serious disobedience to authorities, refusing to stop surfing, ignoring the requirements of the agents, who knew that she had skipped the confinement after having tested positive for Covid-19.
As reported by the Basque Department of Security to Europa Press, an individual has alerted the Ertzaintza at midday that a woman, who
had tested positive for coronavirus, was surfing
on a San Sebastian beach, instead of being confined to his house.
The local newspapers and several witnesses say they had this information because
the girl works as a lifeguard on the beach of La Concha (and was on sick leave)
.
This is how some of the Twitter accounts that have taken videos and photos of the moment have explained the situation:
Rescue resources have come by boat to the surfer and have urged her to approach the shore.
This
has ignored the requests of the agents and until an hour later it has not left the water.
When she got to the beach, Ertzaintza crews - equipped with PPE - were waiting for
her and arrested her for serious disobedience.
In addition, this woman will receive a penalty for skipping the confinement.
