The Aleppo Education Directorate has taken a number of measures to prevent Coronavirus and prevent its spread in schools in preparation for the new school year.

The Director of Education Ibrahim Maso said in a statement to the SANA reporter today that appropriate practical measures have been taken to clean and sterilize schools through a campaign in coordination with the School Health Department, which included sterilizing and cleaning 1620 schools to receive 600,000 students in various educational stages in the countryside and in the city. A school to take care of students' health and coordinate with the Aleppo Health Directorate to investigate and follow-up suspected cases of HIV infection.

In turn, the head of the School Health Department, Dr. Yahya Al-Atar, affirmed the directorate’s keenness to implement the plan developed by the Ministries of Education and Health to define the tasks of health and administrative staff, to see the health situation in schools and to carry out sterilization campaigns.

SANA's camera toured a number of schools in which sterilization operations are carried out, including Fadwa Toukan School in the Zabadiya neighborhood, which is liberated from terrorism, where Mahmoud Dogan, Assistant Director of Aleppo Education, indicated to a SANA reporter to organize spraying and sterilization campaigns in schools, providing sterilization materials and detergents, and preparing working health personnel to perform their duties.

Instructor Hoda Sheikh Al-Qassabin, who supervises the sterilization campaign at Fadwa Toukan School, indicated that the cleaning and sterilization work is carried out in cooperation with the teaching staff, as the seats and surfaces were sterilized in preparation for the students' attendance.

The worker, Mohamed Obeid, who is participating in the sterilization campaign using hand sprayers, stated that he is doing his duty to contribute to the prevention of the virus and the protection of children from it.

In the Adhamiya neighborhood of Faraj Thaljah School for Basic Education, the teaching staff participated with a number of students in a cleaning and sterilization campaign, where Abdul Jalil Abdul Karim, head of the Basic Education Department of the Aleppo Education Directorate, stated that out of concern for the health of the students, the directorate implements a sterilization and cleaning campaign for schools that included classrooms and seats and this will continue. Even with the start of the official working hours for students in all schools.

“With the start of the administrative hours for teachers, a cleaning campaign was implemented in the school to ensure a safe environment for students,” said Silman Al-Derby, director of Faraj Thaljeh School.
