California fires have destroyed a record-breaking area.
And they are still at their peak
Since last month, about a thousand fires have broken out in the country, most of them from electric shocks.
Along with extreme dry and scorching conditions, more than 8,000 square kilometers have gone up in flames. 14,000 firefighters are trying to contain 24 fires, one of which began with a fetal sex discovery party. "It doesn't take much to ignite flames."

A record area went up in flames in California state fires during the year, while the situation is still out of control.
The state Department of Forestry and Fire said more than 8,000 square kilometers went up in flames across the state on the west coast of the United States, and one of the fires - El Dorado - that spread over an area of 28 square kilometers began with a family party.
The fires are scorching the state as it suffers from heat peaks: On Sunday, 49.4 degrees were measured in the Los Angeles area, the highest temperatures ever in the county.
The Meteorological Service has warned that although heat load relief is expected, strong winds may ignite the fire.

More than 14,000 firefighters are trying to contain 24 fires across California, and the largest, dubbed "Creek," has consumed more than 315 square miles since it erupted in the Sierra Mountains on Friday. About 25 buildings were burned in the town of Big Creek, and more than 200 hikers were rescued from the air after getting stuck in a nature reserve where a fire is raging. In
San Diego County, the "Valley" fire led to the evacuation of the isolated town of Alpine, while the "Bobcat" fire in the Angeles National Forest destroyed about 20 square miles and led to the evacuation of Mount Wilson Observatory.
Firefighters said using a smoke-generating device at a fetal sex discovery party in the San Brandino area led to the burning of El Dorado.
They warned the public that due to the drought and weather conditions, "not much is needed for a fire to break out."
They also warned that those responsible would "be punished financially and criminally."

Since August 15, about a thousand fires have raged in the country, many of them erupting after lightning strikes.
Alongside the vast areas burned, eight people died and more than 3,300 buildings were destroyed.
"The previous peak was in 2018, when an area of 7,900 square kilometers went up in flames.
Fire
surveillance began in 1987."
Fire services spokesman Lane Tolmchoff told the Associated Press that he was concerned about how early the fires started this year. " It's pretty disturbing because September and October are historically the worst months in terms of fires. "In
five counties - Franco, Madera, Mariposa, San Bernardino and San Diego - a state of emergency has been declared alongside calls not to travel in those areas after one hiker was killed.
