The commuters in the Munich Transport and Tariff Association (MVV) have to be prepared for a price increase.
This will probably come with the start of the winter schedule.
Munich * - Commuters in the
Munich Transport and Tariff Association (MVV)
must be prepared for a
price increase
.
On Thursday (September 8th) the shareholders of the MVV - in addition to the city and districts of the Free State of Bavaria - will be advised on four price models.
Depending on the model, ticket prices will increase by an average of 2.8 to 5.1 percent.
The price increase would then apply with the start of the winter schedule in mid-December.
CSU district administrator speaks of a "moderate increase"
Robert Niedergesäß (CSU)
, district administrator in Ebersberg and spokesman for the district administrators in the MVV area, spoke on Tuesday of a "very moderate increase in the lower single-digit range".
The commuters would have had three very good years with only a small increase, a zero round and even a price decrease.
"It was clear that it couldn't go on forever."
The
price increase has nothing to do
with the
Corona crisis
- a public transport rescue package has been decided on for the three-digit loss of income that occurred here.
There was a zero round in the MVV in 2018, and in 2019 prices even fell as a result of the tariff reform.
