A 45-year-old man, known for cases of theft and concealment, was shot dead overnight in Perpignan (Pyrénées-Orientales), a police source told AFP on Tuesday (September 8th).

Injured in the abdomen around 1:30 am, the victim died on the spot, said the same source, without further details on the circumstances of the facts.
His body was found near the lycée Jean-Lurçat, in the Champ de Mars district of Perpignan, a place frequented by drug traffickers.
An investigation was entrusted to the judicial police.
