Dr. Shirley Elmasi Arieli, the bride who collapsed during her wedding in a moshav in the northern western Negev last week, died today (Wednesday) at Soroka Hospital in Be'er Sheva, after a week and a half in which doctors struggled to save her. The hospital said: "Dr. Shirley Elmasi Arieli, a doctor in the pediatrics division who collapsed during her wedding about ten days ago."
The medical center also said that "Shirley was evacuated here during prolonged resuscitation. The medical staff continued the resuscitation operations, she was transferred to the intensive care unit in the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery in a very serious condition."

Elmasi Arieli, the 34-year-old bride, a doctor by profession, collapsed during the domestic incident at Moshav Shibolim, and doctors who were among the guests of the incident began resuscitation operations there.
Later, MDA paramedics and paramedics arrived, continued resuscitation and evacuated her to the hospital in critical condition.

"Together they brought her to the hospital's shock room, where she was treated by a professional team that included professionals from all fields, including drives that were called from home, and all this during a process of resuscitation all the time."
