The salary protests of the policemen of the province of Buenos Aires were felt again this Wednesday in the

Presidential Residence of Olivos

, where several agents demonstrated even surrounding the property and honking the horns of their patrol cars.

As on Tuesday, in the place, dozens of police officers in uniforms wave

Argentine flags and play their drums.

The protests of the Buenos Aires police began last Monday and intensified in the last hours despite the salary promise of the Axel Kicillof government.

President Alberto Fernández referred to the claim earlier, and warned that "this issue is not resolved by hiding in patrol cars and honking the horn."

"It is resolved by speaking frontally and the national government is not going to be distracted, we are going to confront it together with the governor of the province of Buenos Aires," completed the head of state when leading an act in Quilmes with governor Kicillof.

The uniformed officers handed over to the provincial authorities a petition with more than a dozen claims, including a salary increase of at least 56% for some categories and more protection elements in a context of increased infections.

They also asked not to be sanctioned for the protest.

The demonstrations are replicated in La Matanza, Lanús, Adrogué and La Plata and other cities in the interior of the district, at a time when insecurity is the main concern of the population.
