The Ile-de-France regional health agency (ARS) announced on Wednesday September 9 the opening by the end of September of 20 Covid-19 screening centers, which will be able to carry out up to 10,000 samples per day in order to to relieve congestion in laboratories overwhelmed by demand.

Hospitals and Ile biologists might be passed "
in a few weeks from 45,000 to 200,000 tests

While the queues are always full in front of the “
591 sampling points
” in the region, the health agency will create 20 additional “
from the second half of September
”, which will remain open “
until the end of the winter period
”.

These centers will each be able to perform “
at least 500 tests per day

a commitment to return results within 24 hours
”.

", they will operate "
6 days a week from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm

identified as contact cases
".

Their locations, still discussed with the mayors concerned, will be "
distributed over the 8 Ile-de-France departments
", assures the ARS, which intends to continue its "
targeted screening operations
" in parallel

Often organized under barnums during the summer, 250 targeted actions have already "
made it possible in a few months to carry out more than 70,000 tests in a large number of municipalities
".
In the same vein, “
dedicated screening buses will run in certain rural areas of Île-de-France and around stations
”.
Called #MobilTest, this device will be presented Wednesday afternoon in Mormant (Seine-et-Marne) by the director general of the ARS, Aurélien Rousseau, and the president of the region, Valérie Pécresse.
