Tartous-Sana
The members of the fire brigade in Tartous Governorate extinguished four fires that broke out today in separate areas of the governorate.
Colonel Samir Shamma, commander of the fire brigade, stated to SANA that the fire brigade members are currently working to extinguish the fire that broke out on a land planted with olive trees in the village of Al-Souda, pointing out that the other four fires that were extinguished broke out in the villages of Marqia and Busra, north of the governorate, near Kaziya Sheikh Saad and the train station within the city of Tartous did not result in any damage.
Colonel Shamma confirmed that the fire brigade members are fully prepared to deal with any emergency, noting the great role of citizens in reporting those fires and their cooperation with firefighters to put them out and limit their spread.
