In the video, Netanyahu apologizes to the Yaakov Abu al-Qiaan family (Walla NEWS system!)

Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit made it clear tonight (Wednesday) that the claim that the prosecution has determined that Yaakov Abu al-Qian, who was shot dead during the evacuation of Umm al-Hiran in 2017, is a terrorist - is false.

This, in response to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's remarks last night, according to which "the State Attorney's Office and the police determined that this was a terrorist to protect themselves."

Mandelblit launched an attack on the prime minister, calling his remarks a lie, "an invention out of nothing, whose whole purpose is to delegitimize the law enforcement system and its decisions in the prime minister's case."

Netanyahu made the remarks last night during a statement in which he publicly apologized to the family of Yaakov Abu al-Qiaan, who was shot dead by police - and was portrayed as a terrorist for no wrong in his palm.

In his remarks, Netanyahu referred to the exposure of journalist Amit Segal last night on News 12, in which he was alleged to cover up police investigations such as the al-Qa'ani shooting case, in order not to damage the prime minister's investigations.

According to Netanyahu, the failures of the police in investigating the incident in Umm al-Hiran indicate the political bias of the police.
