Taiwan’s Ministry of Health and Welfare’s Central Epidemic Command Center for Disease Control announced today (9th) that in response to the slowing of the epidemic in Vietnam and Hong Kong, it will immediately adjust Vietnam to a low-risk country, and at the same time reduce Hong Kong to a medium- and low-risk area. Visitors to Taiwan can shorten the quarantine period from the current 14 days to 7 days.

Taiwan announced that taking into account the recent slowdown of the epidemic in Hong Kong, it has reached the low-to-medium risk grading standard for two consecutive weeks, and the authorities have relaxed some epidemic control measures, so Hong Kong is classified as a low-to-medium risk area with immediate effect.
Taiwan’s latest list shows that the countries listed as "low infection risk countries/regions" are: New Zealand, Macau, Palau, Fiji, Brunei, Thailand, Mongolia, Bhutan, Laos, Cambodia, Sri Lanka, Nauru, Timor-Leste, Mauritius, Vietnam; the “countries/regions with low and medium risk of infection” include Malaysia, Singapore, Myanmar, and Hong Kong.
