The summary confirms 25 payments of public money between 2013 and 2015 destined to boycott the judicial investigation of box b of the PP

The Ministry of the Interior during the stage of Jorge Fernández Díaz allocated at least 53,266 euros of the funds reserved for the so-called Operation Kitchen, the para-police network to follow up on the former treasurer of the PP Luis Bárcenas launched with the aim of snatching compromising information for the party that could save during the judicial investigation of the box b.

In a resolution of April 16, included in the summary of the

Bárcenas case

,

to which EL PAÍS has had access, the judge of the National Court José de la Mata details that "25 payments have been accredited between July 2013 and September 2015" in Operation Kitchen, which was coordinated by the Deputy Operational Directorate, the maximum command of the Police, and that had the participation as an undercover agent of Sergio Ríos Esgueva, who was the driver of Bárcenas and his wife, Rosalía Iglesias.

Of this amount, says the judge, 50,000 euros correspond to wages and salaries, at a rate of 2,000 euros per month -some months a little more-, and the rest to expenses of food (2,574 euros), transport (496 euros) and payments of another nature (195 euros).

The money transfers were made, says the magistrate, by retired commissioner José Manuel Villarejo, head of the corrupt police plot and in prison since November 2017, and his partner Andrés Gómez Gordo.

Enrique García Castaño,

El Gordo,

head of the Central Operational Support Unit, the police division in charge of covert operations to obtain information against terrorism and organized crime,

also participated in the execution of the plan

.

The funds, says the judge, came from the Deputy Operational Directorate, which was directed by Eugenio Pino.

The investigation into this para-police network, which is being followed by two investigating courts of the National High Court - Central 5, which handles the case of box b of the PP, and Central 6, which carries the macrosummary on Villarejo's businesses - has recorded that the former treasurer Bárcenas and his wife were followed up between July 25 and November 11, 2013 and between January 23 and February 12, 2014.

In addition, according to the investigation, there was an expenditure of 700 euros reserved funds to buy a pistol from Sergio Ríos, who after Operation Kitchen supposedly entered the National Police as an official, and a 1,905 euro laptop with which to download the information seized from the Bárcenas and allegedly handed over to the former Secretary of State for Security Francisco Martínez, accused in the Kitchen room of the Central Court 6.

To cover up the true object of the operation, which was none other, according to the judge, than to detect the place where Bárcenas kept sensitive documents for the PP and to secure their seizure, García Castaño made the investigators under his command believe that what was He was looking for the possible hidden patrimony of the former treasurer and his wife, and to identify the people who collaborated with them to camouflage it.

The commissioner would personally receive the information to later transfer it to the UDEF police units, which were investigating the case of box b of the PP then under the orders of judge Pablo Ruz.

The follow-up reports, which actually sought to boycott the judicial investigation, emphasize the types of bags carried by the surveyed persons, those with whom they relate, and the possible deliveries of documents made.

"Human, technical and financial resources assigned to the National Police were used (...) and the control of the actions was carried out by the higher bodies of the intervening units," says the judge.

"The results obtained met the objectives set by seizing documentation made up of at least the documents handwritten by Rosalía Iglesias and digital information recorded on a hard drive by Sergio Ríos in conjunction with Andrés Gómez Gordo", police commissioner of the maximum confidence of the former secretary general of the PP Dolores de Cospedal, whose imputation is requested by the Prosecutor's Office in the case opened in the Central Court 6 together with her husband, Ignacio López del Hierro, and the former Minister of the Interior Jorge Fernández Díaz.
