The White House wanted to silence information about threats of Russian interference in the presidential election by asking an American intelligence official, Brian Murphy, not to bring up any more information about Moscow, but to focus on the Iran and China instead, according to the whistleblower's complaint. The White House wanted to silence information about threats of Russian interference in the presidential election by asking an American intelligence official, Brian Murphy, not to bring up any more information about Moscow, but to focus on the Iran and China instead, according to the whistleblower's complaint.

“In

mid-May 2020, Mr. Wolf (Donald Trump's Minister of Homeland Security, editor's note) asked Mr. Murphy to stop raising intelligence reports on the threat of Russian interference in the United States, and instead of informing about interference from China and Iran,

”said the whistleblower in a complaint to the Inspector General of the Ministry of Homeland Security revealed Wednesday, September 9.
