Almost complete closure for a month, softened closure for two weeks: Gamzo outline for the corona cabinet

The Corona commissioner has advised ministers to apply the “tightened restraint” outline from next Thursday until October 12th.

During this period, moving between cities during the holidays will be banned, gatherings will be restricted and the education system will be closed apart from distance learning.

According to the recommendation, Israel will then undergo at least two weeks of "partial restraint"

Corona Commissioner Prof. Roni Gamzo today (Thursday) recommended to the Corona Cabinet to impose an almost complete closure for a month, followed by a softened closure for at least two weeks.

According to the "tightened restraint" outline, from next Thursday until October 12, the transition between cities during the holidays will be restricted, gatherings across the country will be restricted according to the definition of red localities and the education system will be closed throughout the period except distance learning.

According to the recommendation, at the end of the month, Israel will move to an outline of "partial restraint" for at least another two weeks.

During this period the gatherings will be limited according to the orange color, the kindergarten and first-fourth grade students will study as usual while the fifth-grade students and above will study from a distance, and in the private and public sector will return to full-time work in places without public reception.

Gamzo stressed that he wants to take advantage of the holiday season to reduce significant morbidity while curbing social contacts and calculated damage to the economy.

The goal of the corona supervisor is to reduce the daily number of patients to about 700-600, while simultaneously operating a full system of amputation of the infection chains.
