Pink unicorns: boys love them too (symbolic image)

My son's favorite color is pink.
He also likes red, pink, purple and anything that glitters.
When he couldn't speak yet but was old enough to express enthusiasm, he pointed with his index finger at silver sneakers with pink asterisks in the shoe store.
I bought it for him.
If the five-year-old asks for it today, I'll paint his fingernails red and let him experiment with lipstick.
What else should I do with the candy-colored bad buy other than paint it on his and my mouth and then break out laughing when I look in the mirror?

Anna Clauß
, 38, is the mother of a five-year-old son.
She works full time and knows how to raise children to be happy despite being absent and constantly short of time.
Or at least successfully persuade it.
My boy is a boy straight out of a cliché picture book: He doesn't like to sit still, jump fearlessly from the highest branch, lets volcanoes erupt in the sandpit and prefers to build ships, cars and rockets with Lego blocks - which he leads in battles against cuddly toy unicorns.
He prefers to wear pink clothes.
And a pink baseball cap with a unicorn emblem.
My son makes me proud
But the week before last he suddenly refused to put on the sun protection.
The cap was stupid, ugly, stupid, he thought.
He would never wear them again.
It took a while before he came up with the reason for the surprising change of heart: In kindergarten, a few boys had ridiculed him as "girls".
Such guys are stupid and stupid themselves, I tried to counter.
It did not help.
