The president of Colombia, Iván Duque, calls for "calm and serenity" to the population after the violent protests that left several dead and injured on Wednesday night.
The demonstrations broke out after a video showed two policemen beating lawyer Javier Ordóñez and using a stun gun to immobilize him.
Ordóñez later died in a clinic.
Duque urges Colombians to have confidence in independent institutions.
