Tonight (Thursday), the government approved additions of NIS 11 million to the state budget.

Among other things, NIS 3 billion will be transferred to the defense budget, NIS 900 million to disability benefits and NIS 180 million for raising the Flashmob members from Ethiopia.

In addition, additional budgets will be transferred for the development and strengthening of localities in Judea and Samaria, for state-religious education and yeshivas, for Druze, Ethiopian and Circassian communities, and for educational programs.

Concurrent with the decision on budget additions, Treasury officials presented the numerator - the government’s revenue and expenditure forecast for the next three years - which indicates that the government will have to raise taxes and cut spending during 2023-2021.

The forecast shows that the government will be required to cut NIS 50 billion.

Yesterday, the chief economist at the Ministry of Finance, Shira Greenberg, presented an overview of the update of the budget frameworks, in which the deficit is expected to be 13.4% of GDP at the end of the year, with today the deficit standing at a record 8.1%.

It is paralyzing, it harms Israel's financial strength.

It creates uncertainty for the economy. "He stressed that" if in the normal period this is a problematic situation, in the Corona period it is an intolerable situation. "
