The political system responded to the publication in "Israel Today" about Netanyahu's "personal overcoming clause" • Opposition leader Lapid: "Israel ceases to be a democracy"

The blue and white list clarified today (Thursday) that "there is no change in policy, there will be no overcoming clause."

This follows the publication this morning in "Israel Today" that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu intends to pass a "personal overruling clause" that will prevent his disqualification.

Netanyahu at the beginning of the Likud faction meeting: "There is no escape from an independent investigation" // From Benjamin Netanyahu's Facebook page

According to the publication, the prime minister fears that after the rotation with Bnei Gantz, the High Court will determine that the latter's status as an alternate prime minister is similar to the minister and therefore Netanyahu will have to resign, so Netanyahu demands a blue and white chair to support the ruling Nissenkorn and Foreign Minister Gabi Ashkenazi join in support.

Former Justice Minister MK Ayelet Shaked (right) shared the gate on her Facebook account and wrote: "A legal adviser will not determine who will be prime minister.

It is the Knesset that determines.

Any other determination undermines the foundations of democracy.

And for that matter no less important.

Once again the priorities of this failing government are fundamentally distorted.

The infiltrators, expecting vineyards do not justify a ceasefire.

What does justify you ask?

Gantz's entry into Balfour, of course. "

A legal adviser will not determine who will be prime minister.

It is the Knesset that determines.

Any other determination undermines the foundations of democracy.

And for that matter it is important not ...

Opposition leader MK Yair Lapid (Yesh Atid-Telam) wrote on his Twitter account: "Israel is ceasing to be a democracy, Netanyahu should not go to jail because he is the ruler. This is what he wanted from day one."

Such an overcoming clause means that there is no equality, no law, Israel ceases to be a democracy, Netanyahu does not have to go to jail because he is the ruler.

This is what he wanted from day one.

It was also reported this morning that the prime minister understands that the rotation between him and Ganz is imminent and is beginning to internalize this.

He is therefore trying to pressure a blue-and-white chairman to support an overruling ruling that will invalidate any High Court decision regarding his imprisonment - as what is known as a "personal overruling ruling."

As reported, Ganz tends to support the idea but the "Mandelblit axis" that includes Gabi Ashkenazi and Avi Nissenkorn opposes the move and fortifies itself within the system.

The two stand as a wall in shape and protect the ombudsman, the top prosecutors and their fellow judges.
