The

Supreme Court of the Nation

decided this Thursday that

five provinces

must urgently inform you of the reasons for the restrictions that they had in their accesses or in internal circulation, within the framework of the coronavirus quarantine.

The governments of

San Luis, Córdoba, Formosa, Corrientes and Salta

will have three days to bring their arguments to the Highest Court, for it to rule on the blockades.

The intervention of the Court took place after

claims made by individuals,

by a national senator, by a company and by the Rural Society of Río Cuarto arrived there.

The court claimed the reports, regardless of what it ends up deciding on whether its jurisdiction in the lawsuits corresponds.

In one of the cases,

corresponding to the province of Corrientes

, the Court ordered the government to "arbitrate the necessary measures to allow the entry" of an individual "to the territory through the General Belgrano bridge to assist his mother on a daily basis, during the oncological treatment to be performed "in the provincial capital.

Ricardo Lorenzetti, Elena Highton de Nolasco, Carlos Rosenkrantz, Juan Carlos Maqueda and Horacio Rosatti.

This decision comes after what became known as

the "Solange case"

, a young woman who suffered from cancer and died without being able to see her father due to the restrictions in the province of Córdoba.

The shock even reached Alberto Fernández's president, who argued that he was unaware of the situation and was criticized by the young woman's father.

"This issue was very strong in the media, but

it was not prosecuted

. What the Court is doing now, in the case of Corrientes, is to approve a precautionary measure so that while defining the substantive issue, the person who presented the lawsuit can see his mother, "

judicial sources

explained to

Clarín

.

The controversy over the circulation between districts began almost from the very beginning of the compulsory isolation and even occurred between municipalities in the same province, such as Buenos Aires, where several mayors sought to isolate their territories to stop contagion.

Some examples?

Ezeiza, Almirante Brown, San Vicente, Olavarría, Exaltación de la Cruz, Villa Gesell and, to a lesser extent, Lomas de Zamora.

With the increase in insecurity, it is also being discussed whether homeowners are allowed to enter their homes on the coast, after alleged robberies in empty homes and even land takeovers spread.

One of the claims that reached the Court was presented in early July by

radical senator Luis Naidenoff

, head of the Juntos por el Cambio interblock.

In his case, he presented a collective habeas corpus for the citizens of Formosa who are prevented from entering his province, where the Peronist Gildo Insfrán has ruled for 25 years.

It is one of the districts with the fewest cases in the country: as of Thursday it did not reach 100.

All the resolutions were unanimously signed, with the signature of the five judges (President

Carlos Rosenkrantz

, plus Vice

Elena Highton de Nolasco and members Ricardo Lorenzetti, Horacio Rosatti and Juan Carlos Maqueda

), except the precautionary one, in which he did not sign Rosenkrantz.
