Syrian Scientific Olympiad students participate in the Global Olympiad in Informatics, organized by Singapore "remotely" during the period between 13 and 19 of this month, with the participation of 348 students from 87 countries.

The Excellence and Creativity Authority indicated in a statement that SANA received a copy of today that the participation will be through two geographic centers in Aleppo, “University of Aleppo,” where each of the students, “Muhammad Noor Al-Masri from the third grade of high school” and “Bisher Saad Eddin Islambouli from the second grade of secondary school” will participate. And “Philip Yaqoub Aji, from the second grade of secondary school,” while “the headquarters of the Student Excellence and Creativity Commission” Ahmed Munther Haidar, from the third year of high school, will participate from the Damascus Center.

The authority pointed out that the required technical measures have been taken by the Organizing Committee of the Olympics in Singapore, including direct video filming of students as they submit the tests from the centers assigned to them.

The competitions include two rounds of tests covering a set of questions in the English language that require a high ability to analyze and think logically in the field of programming and algorithms.
