“It's ugly.” Josef Holzmann says it bluntly.
A teacher from the Staffelsee-Gymnasium is infected with the corona virus.
The director confirmed this to the daily newspaper on Thursday afternoon.
The person affected lives in
the Weilheim-Schongau district.
“We had a series test with the teachers,” says Holzmann.
The results were only available yesterday.
"We immediately reported it to the health department."
The teacher is the
class leader
in the fifth grade and had contact with the children for several hours on Tuesday and Wednesday.
The 27 students and the teacher are now in quarantine for 14 days.
There is digital distance learning for the children.

,” emphasizes Stephan Scharf, spokesman for the district office.
Corona tests
are now being
prepared for
the young people
, which may be repeated in a week.
The hope is there that there were no infections, says Scharf, "because the teacher taught completely with mouth and nose protection."
The high school immediately informed the parents of the fifth graders concerned by telephone on Thursday.
In addition, a parents' letter was sent out to the entire school family.
According to Holzmann, the teacher concerned was not on vacation abroad during the summer holidays.
Scharf confirms this after consulting the health department.
"She also showed no symptoms."

Three children and an employee of the kindergarten in Garmisch-Partenkirchen are still allowed to visit the facility because they did not come into contact with the sick person.
For the time being, operations in the two sites will continue to be closely monitored, emphasizes Andreas Wieland, Vice Chairman of the KJE.
"If there are further positive tests, we must of course consider a complete closure." All those affected are now immediately tested for the Covid-19 pathogen.
As with the high school students from Murnau, this smear must be repeated after a week.
