A 23-year-old tractor driver had overlooked the woman's car when turning onto the state road, whereupon the vehicles collided.
Officials from the Mühldorf am Inn police station began investigating the course of the accident.
Bad accident at Schwindegg: car driver hits tractor fork and dies
On Wednesday, 09.09.2020, around 1.30 p.m., a fatal traffic accident occurred on Staatsstraße 2084 near Rattenkirchen at the Edmühle junction.
A 23-year-old farmer drove his tractor and hay tedder trailer from Edmühle / Walkersaich towards the confluence with Isentalstraße, where he wanted to turn right towards Schwindegg.
In order to be able to drive into the street, he had to drive up to the stop line.
However, since he had lowered his front loader fork far, he was already standing with it in the roadway.
He overlooked the Ford Fiesta car of a 74-year-old woman coming from the left, who drove her driver's side exactly against the front loader fork and the right side of the vehicle against the tractor tire.
The fork's impact severely damaged the left A-pillar and roof of the Ford, which also fatally injured the driver.
Shortly afterwards, a truck driver passed the scene of the accident behind a column of cars and saw the tractor driver standing on the street when he waved for help.

4-5 cars drove past the scene of the accident and just continued.
Fortunately, the truck driver stopped and called the police.
The fire brigades Obertaufkirchen, Rattenkirchen and Weidenbach were deployed to rescue and cordon off measures.
In addition, an emergency doctor vehicle from Erding and rescue crews from Waldkraiburg were on site.
Unfortunately, the emergency doctor could only determine the death of the Ford driver after removing the vehicle roof.
