President Alberto Fernández assured that "sometimes it hurts some to renounce privileges", although he stressed that "no dialogue is broken" amid the tension with the head of the Buenos Aires Government, Horacio Rodríguez Larreta, due to the withdrawal of funds from the city.
He said it this Friday, during the announcement of public works for the provinces of Chubut, Buenos Aires, Santa Fe, Tucumán and Tierra del Fuego.
"My word was always to build a federal country with 24 governors. This is a very unequal country and therefore measures must be taken that are going to favor some and harm others. The solidarity of all of us must appear there. The damage is not taking away from someone what they need, but
taking away the abundance of some sides to distribute it in the shortcomings of others,
"said the president, who communicated with the governors by videoconference from the Olivos residence.
"A few hours ago we made an announcement so that the most populated, extensive and productive province can have the resources to continue growing. What we are doing is not sowing discord, we are sowing equality," he added.
And he sentenced, in a clear message to Rodríguez Larreta: "We are going to continue talking.
No dialogue is broken. Sometimes we simply don't agree.
And sometimes it hurts some of them to renounce privileges. But dialogue is the way. ".
With an
investment of 31 billion pesos
, the works announced this afternoon include railway infrastructure, expansion of potable water and sanitation networks, road improvements and water infrastructure works.
