The Ministry of Health updated today (Friday) that 20,787 people were diagnosed in Corona last week.
The figure is about 45% higher than the week before.
This is a sharp rise, continuing the trend of the past week.
To date, 1,077 people have died from the Corona virus in Israel - an increase of 86 deaths from last week.
4,038 infections were diagnosed in the past day, bringing the number of confirmed infections in Israel since the outbreak to 146,542.
Yesterday, results were obtained for 47,336 tests, with the percentage of positive for the virus being 8.8%.
The test data and their results are not final and may change in subsequent updates from the Ministry of Health.
The number of active patients is 33,920.
The hospitals hospitalize 982 patients, of whom 134 are respirators (123 last week) and 489 severe patients (416 last week).
Yesterday, 3,904 people were diagnosed in Corona.
The number of tests was 43,445, of which 8.3% were positive for the virus.
