Corona outbreak in BAD 1: More than a hundred soldiers were diagnosed as positive
The IDF officers' school is facing a further increase in the number of patients, as in recent days hundreds of corona tests have been conducted at the base, and those who have been found have been transferred to the recovering village in Ashkelon.
The rest of the soldiers were scattered between Tze'elim, Camp 80, and a tent compound outside the B'Tselem.

In the past week, Bahad 1, the IDF officers' school, has been dealing with a sharp spread of the corona virus among cadets.
Initially the virus spread in one company, and then in the entire Erez battalion.

NEWS It was learned that this morning (Friday) the number of those infected in the camp rose to more than a hundred cadets and commanders.
Following the continued spread, the commanders of the 1st Battalion took several steps to isolate the infected soldiers.
Hundreds of corona tests were performed on the soldiers and then the patients were transferred to the recovering village in Ashkelon. To the Tze'elim base or to Camp 80, and the rest were transferred to a tent compound set up outside the base.

NEWS that at this stage the training process of the cadets was not harmed, except for a few days in the Erez Regiment where a high number of Corona patients were diagnosed.
The officer noted that in the coming days a number of cadets are expected to be released from the recovering village, after recovering and performing two consecutive checks.
The senior rank among those infected is a staff member with the rank of major, team commander and doctor.

An epidemiological investigation conducted throughout the 1st Battalion revealed that two cadets became infected while on vacation in the pavilion, and when they returned to the BAD they infected other soldiers.
One of the cadets did not report any symptoms she experienced because she thought it was an asthma attack from which she had suffered from childhood, and the other cadet did not report to commanders that her father was near a verified patient, knowing the medical staff at the base only after her father was found positive in Corona.
