As a result of the shark attack, the beaches south and north of
Greenmount Beach were
cleared.
A helicopter was used to keep an eye out for the shark.
As a precautionary measure, the beaches in the
Gold Coast region should
remain closed on Wednesday.
However, questions also arise from the fact that at Greenmount Beach there are

sharks are
normally supposed to keep away from the beaches.
This is a so-called "netted beach".

About two weeks later, an Australian launched a daring attack to save his wife from a shark.
