The patience has paid off: after more than half a year of waiting, the Munich customs investigation team found 4.5 kilos of amphetamine and 100 grams of ecstasy pills from a 27-year-old from the Schongau area.

  • Kilos of drugs were found in a 27-year-old from the Schongau area

  • The drug was sent by parcel

  • The man is on remand because of the risk of escape

Schongau -

The investigators had already found the man by chance in January.

At the time, a police patrol checked two cyclists at the Dutch / German border, each with an envelope.

Contents: A total of one kilo of amphetamine and 50 ecstasy pills.

The two letters were addressed to the 27-year-old from the Schongau area.

According to a customs spokesman, the aim of the two messengers was apparently to avoid the letters getting a suspicious Dutch postage stamp.

Drugs have a sales value of 50,000 euros

Since then, the man's parcel deliveries have been monitored.

“Of course we cannot say whether he has received drugs from another source in between, because the monitoring is legally complicated,” said the customs spokesman.

But last Saturday the wait was worth it: The 27-year-old's drugs, professionally shrink-wrapped in cans, were seized.

According to customs, the street sales value would have been 50,000 euros.

At the request of the Munich II public prosecutor's office, an arrest warrant was issued against the drug dealer because of the risk of flight.
