The experiences of plastic artists Ghassan Al-Akl, Wassim Abdel-Hamid, Ayman Al-Beik and Aimar Al-Hamidi within the eighth oil painting forum entitled "Syria Bridge of Love" constitute a rich synthesis that reflects the diversity of art schools currently prevailing in Syria in light of the different cultures, backgrounds and varieties of artists.

In the paintings of these four artists in the forum held by the Directorate of Fine Arts at the Ministry of Culture in the Garden of the National Museum in Damascus, we find symbols from our cultural heritage and the reflection of the war on the lives of Syrians and a clear and overwhelming presence of women as a favorite subject of many plastic artists.

Plastic Artist Al-Akl did not deviate from his paintings of his own style related to civilization, myth and the Arabic letter, and he said in a statement to SANA: “I formed aesthetic formations that are in harmony with the atmosphere of the National Museum, including the authentic cultural heritage that it contains, and this forum is a beautiful experience in the world of Syrian formation that allows artists to meet the audience directly.” .

The teacher at the Institute of Applied Arts, plastic artist, Wassim Abdel Hamid, painted two paintings in an expressive style that embody the Syrians children of life during the years of war with a special dramatic scene and explained that the artist’s participation in the forum allows the audience to see the product of plastic artists and gives experiences to all participants, especially young people.

The participation of the artist Ayman Al-Beik, a teacher at the Institute of Applied Arts, came through two paintings, the first embodying the loss of women between the city and the countryside, and the second inspired by the fragrance of the place, considering that the forums activate the Syrian plastic movement and help the artists learn about each other's experiences.

The young plastic artist Aimar Al-Hamidi, a graduate of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Photography in 2019, painted two paintings representing women in emotional states in an expressive style and expressed her happiness with her first participation in this forum, especially that it allowed her to communicate with the audience and answer their questions, which gave her an impetus to strive to present new ideas in a manner. Of her own, relying on explicit colors.

The forum will continue until next Sunday, provided that the accomplished works will be displayed in a special exhibition next Monday in the National Museum Park.
