These are notorious scams with which strangers tried their luck with senior women in Bad Tölz.
But the women (88 and 79) let the perpetrators appear.
Bad Tölz
- Two senior women were targeted by phone callers with fraudulent intent on Thursday.
According to the police, at 11.20 a.m. and then again at 11.50 a.m., a stranger reported to a woman from Tölzer (88) and pretended to be her grandson.
When she said she had no grandchildren, he hung up.
At about 10:50 p.m. the phone rang at another woman from Tölzer (79).
An alleged “Detective Inspector Max Schreiber” reported in accent-free German.
The lady hung up and notified the real police - "exemplary", as the officers say.
