The Lebanese Army Command announced that its members deployed in Beirut port today found various chemical materials in Ward No. 15 of the port and processed them scientifically.
In a statement, the Army Command indicated that the materials found were transported to safe places so that they no longer pose a threat to public health and safety.
A huge fire broke out yesterday in the port of Beirut, which led to the rise of black smoke in the sky of the Lebanese capital.
It is noteworthy that the port witnessed an explosion on the fourth of last month, which resulted in the deaths of dozens of martyrs and thousands of wounded, in addition to heavy material losses.
