The Directorate of Education in Homs has made all the necessary preparations for the start of the school year tomorrow, by conducting cleaning and sterilization operations for schools and educational complexes, as part of the efforts made to tackle the Corona virus.

Ahmed Al-Ibrahim, Director of Education, said in a statement to SANA that about 364,000 pupils and students will go tomorrow to their schools from various educational stages, stressing the provision of a healthy and safe environment through the application of the provisions of the health protocol and the appointment of a health supervisor in each school with the provision of sterilizers and soap and maintenance of the toilets and manholes Drinking.

In the context of reducing the financial burdens on families and students, the Office of the Martyrs and the Wounded in Homs Governorate began implementing an initiative to secure textbooks for high school students in its various branches, including the children of military and civilian martyrs.

Bassam Mahfouz, head of the martyrs office in the governorate, explained that the distribution of textbooks to the children of the martyrs began today in coordination with the branch of the General Organization for Printing in Homs and the offices of the martyrs located in all regions and municipalities.

For its part, the Youth of Good Association in Homs launched a campaign with knowledge, which aims to reduce the burdens on students' families by securing school supplies such as stationery, bags, school uniforms and school curricula books, whether loaning or exchanging used copies to benefit the largest possible number of students in need.

According to Lama Maghribi, head of the association’s board of directors, the campaign started a month ago with providing school supplies and stationery, and it was distributed successively to the children of families registered in the association, in the countryside and in the city, in order to reach the most needy families.
