The Minister of Justice of Peru, Ana Neyra, affirms that the vacancy motion against President Martín Vizcarra is unconstitutional.
With 65 votes in favor, Congress voted in favor of admitting the debate on a vacancy motion against the president.
On Thursday, recordings were released that allegedly prove that Vizcarra ordered Government Palace officials to lie about visits related to the questioned hiring of a singer.
The president said that the recordings were "maliciously edited and manipulated", although without denying that it was his voice.
