The United Nations has warned that the number of hungry people in the world will reach 840 million by 2030, noting that the latest hunger map reveals the spread of undernourishment in a large number of countries.
"The number of hungry people in the world may reach 840 million by 2030, and the latest hunger map shows the prevalence of undernourishment in every country and provides information about the greatest threat to global health," the international organization said in a tweet on its official Twitter account.
A report published by the United Nations website on the 13th of last July indicated that approximately 690 million people suffered from hunger in 2019, an increase of 10 million people compared to 2018, and about 60 million people during a five-year period, as well as rising costs and declining capacity. Their tolerance also means that billions of people are unable to eat healthy or nutritious foods.
