Tropical Depression 19 became Tropical Storm Sally this Saturday afternoon, just off the Southwest Coast of Florida.
The National Hurricane Center's forecast is for it to
continue to gain strength and become a hurricane early next week
as it moves through the northeast Gulf of Mexico.
Authorities warn there is a
risk of hurricane force winds and storm surge from southeastern Louisiana to Alabama.
There is also a flood warning in portions of the state of Florida, where it has not stopped raining since early Saturday morning.
